2 Weeks Out

It’s been almost 3 months since my last posting, so I’m going to try to update Life, Workouts, Weight and Contest.
Life – Life has been moving fast. I recently got engaged, I’ve been getting several projects at home knocked out and having some fun times inbetween. I’m really looking forward to my Minnesota vacation right now.
Workouts - This past month my workouts with Josh have been awesomely intense. We’ve been having success with fast paced, focused, high intensity workouts. There has been no working on max lifts, just simply getting stronger and it’s a nice change. I’ve also picked up a part-time workout partner, EJ – who is a cardio king. I’ve been trying to do crossfit style, circuit training with him 1 or 2 days per week. When he isn’t available I’ve been running a 2-3 mile course around my neighborhood. 
Weight - My weight has been steadily going down. Today I’m sitting at 238-239. The majority of the success has come from the diet, and making good food choices. I’d say the last two months I was eating clean 85%-90% of the time, I’ve cranked it up this week to 90%-95% so I can lose the last few pounds and make contest weight. Losing the weight has been a big mental challenge at times…feeling small, weak, losing my big man identity, but as it wears on I’m enduring through it.
Contest – I’m getting pretty excited for the contest. I haven’t competed in anything for a year and half so I’ve got a lot of nervousness going on. I feel that I’m going to be as strong at 231 as I was 270, but with better stamina and mobility. I’m anxious to see how I do, and get this contest in the books.
